ENoLL signs an MoU with EBN

EBN and ENoLL formalised their cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 21st of May 2012.  The Signing Ceremony took place at a joint event on Smart Cities and Sustainability organized by EBN, ENoLL and Coventry University and Coventry City Lab, in Brussels, Belgium hosted at the Regional Office of Catalonia supported by the European Commission and i2Cat Foundation.

The MoU records a mutual understanding on the existing interactions between the BICs and Living Lab methodologies and both networks want to deepen their cooperation and create a multiplier effect of cases similar such as IBBT iLab.o (BE) and City Lab Coventry (UK) and to establish a platform for future collaboration as follows:

  • Setting up a joint workshops between EBN and ENoLL in partnering for the future;
  • Increased communication and cooperation between BICs and Living Labs;
  • Cooperative research, development and innovation projects of enabling technologies and approaches oriented to future internet, smart cities, energy, health, logistics, transport and ICT among others;
  • Sharing knowledge, experiences and best practices in business incubation, commercialization, users involvement and co-creation;
  • Soft-landing services


Such a cooperative arrangement allows a variety of organisations [members of both networks] to collaborate and cooperate in sharing information and participating in each others initiatives.” said Prof. Alvaro Oliveira (ENoLL).
